1. Never go on holiday alone. Freaks do, but they are soon found out and are rejected.....

Into Happy Havens (2nd edition) is an improved version of the original which attracted many glowing reviews. It tells the story of Martin Hammond, an ambitious young hotel manager who has to learn new skills swiftly when he is promoted to the level of his own incompetence in a group owned hotel in London. A 1st person narrative is full of amusing asides as Martin has to confront irate guests, dishonest staff and Head Office Executives who are very demanding. His life is made tolerable by an attractive, feisty Travel Guide who stays in the hotel. Her street wisdom and North American humour lighten an otherwise intolerable burden. From chaos, order is eventually restored.
